Montgomery Cancer Wellness
Now known as the Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama, their programs help cancer patients and their families when they need it the most – while they are battling cancer. They provide services that are often not available from any other community organization. These programs and services are available to all cancer patients free of charge.

Joy to Life
The Joy to Life Foundation is a non-profit organization providing free mammograms for medically underserved women under 50 years of age in 29 counties in South Central Alabama. These counties include Autauga, Baldwin, Barbour, Bullock, Butler, Choctaw, Clarke, Coffee, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Dale, Dallas, Elmore, Escambia, Geneva, Henry, Houston, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Mobile, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Russell, Washington and Wilcox.

Sistas Can Survive
SISTAs CanSurvive Coalition, Inc. (SCSC),a community based, grassroots, nonprofit501(c )3 organization in partnership with the University of Alabama Birmingham, Preventive Medicine Division proudly announces a joint project to make a difference in the lives of the medically underserved. The project, Survivors Health Initiative Program, or SHIP, is designed to look at how a lifestyle change of healthy eating, physical activity/weight management, and participation in breast cancer support groups may affect the breast cancer survivor’s perception of quality of life after treatment. The initiative is voluntary and utilizes a group approach with a home-based component for monitoring and encouraging compliance with pre-established, physician approved health, and wellness practices.
